First impressions are important

I've been working on what is going to be my first entry into the Android market.

It is a simple game, I hope to ship it with less than 80 total hours spent in development.

Yesterday, I thought I'd post a screenshot to a android dedicated website and gather responses:

Out of 13 comments, the majority of the responders complained about the (placeholder) block art.

It was an interesting lesson learned, because while I had initially intended to redo the block sprites with higher quality images, after spending the last 40 hours staring at those, they were starting to grow on me.

Getting feedback brought me back down to earth, and reminded me that if I want this game to be a success, it needs to look as nice as it plays.
